Our experience in the Nuclear industry
Over the last two decades, we have played a significant and proven role in advancing two of the three critical stages of India’s Nuclear Power Program. Our contributions span a wide spectrum of high-precision, safety-critical nuclear engineering projects that directly support the nation’s peaceful nuclear energy ambitions. During this journey, we have delivered key reactor components for Pressurized Heavy Water Reactors (PHWRs), supported heavy-water upgradation and waste-management facilities, and engineered robust heat exchangers integral to primary circuit operations. Our expertise extends to designing and manufacturing complex shielding equipment essential for reactor-building protection, as well as fabricating advanced air-lock systems for materials, equipment, personnel, and emergency operations. We have also developed high-integrity storage tanks and vessels for coolants and moderators, along with comprehensive spent-fuel management systems that prioritize long-term safety and regulatory compliance. Our work further includes specialized solutions for fuel storage, transfer, and handling processes, in addition to sophisticated fueling-machine servicing, sampling, and recovery equipment that ensure uninterrupted and secure reactor performance. Beyond these accomplishments, we are proud to be active collaborators in the development of the Prototype Fast Breeder Reactor (PFBR), a landmark initiative and the technological foundation of the second stage of India’s Nuclear Power Program. This sustained involvement highlights our deep-rooted commitment to national energy security, indigenous capability-building, and the future of clean, reliable nuclear power in India.
Experience with Defense Organizations
Our organisation has extensive experience working with India’s premier defence establishments, including DRDO and BrahMos, with recent awards for the manufacturing of BrahMos missile components and subsystems. Over the years, we have developed strong technical capabilities in producing high-precision defence equipment that meets stringent quality and performance standards. Our work includes the development of long-range radar systems, featuring advanced antenna assemblies mounted on turntables for enhanced missile detection and interception accuracy. We also manufacture high-strength missile canisters, engineered using specialised alloys and precisely machined through CNC-controlled processes to ensure durability, structural integrity, and safety during missile storage and transport. In addition, we support the production of nuclear missile handling systems, supplying complex subsystems that require ultra-tight tolerances, precision machining, and robust quality assurance. Our engineering team is further involved in the design, analysis, and manufacture of submarine-mounted missile systems, enabling seamless integration into naval platforms and contributing to India’s strategic defence capabilities. Beyond missile systems, our qualifications extend to working with armored-grade steel, enabling us to support the fabrication of specialised defence vehicles and heavy-duty equipment. We are also expanding our expertise in aluminium fabrication, developing lightweight yet high-strength components suitable for aerospace, naval, and advanced land-system applications. Through continuous innovation, stringent quality control, and deep technical know-how, we remain committed to supporting India’s defence ecosystem with world-class engineering and manufacturing solutions.
Our experience in the Areospace industry
Over the last several years, we have built a strong and collaborative relationship with multiple ISRO centres, working closely with their teams to jointly develop engineering solutions that continue to advance India’s aerospace capabilities. Our contributions support mission-critical programs and infrastructure that form the backbone of the country’s launch vehicle ecosystem. Kay Bouvet Engineering has supplied major equipment to ISRO, including the Second Vehicle Assembly Building, which plays a crucial role in preparing launch vehicles for flight. Our work also includes the manufacturing of rocket motor casings, as well as new motor casings for the PSO-XL and RH-200 processing plants. We have delivered multiple specialised facilities such as the New Process Facility for AP (Ammonium Perchlorate) Fuel Processing and the revamping of the AP Recovery Plant, both essential for solid propulsion systems. In addition, we have engineered and supplied high-precision propellant tanks, designed to meet stringent aerospace safety and performance standards. We are currently executing a major contract for the manufacturing of rotor casings for the PSLV — India’s most dependable and frequently used launch vehicle. This project underscores our growing role as a trusted manufacturing partner in the Indian space ecosystem, contributing to components that demand extreme reliability, precision engineering and advanced material capability.
Our experience in the Bioenergy industry
With more than three decades of expertise in delivering Bioenergy projects across India and overseas, our company has established itself as a trusted provider of turnkey renewable-power solutions for leading sugar mills and process-industry clients. Our extensive experience spans bio-waste-to-energy systems, advanced ethanol-distillation technology, and high-efficiency cogeneration plants, allowing us to support industries in their transition toward sustainable and circular energy models. Over the years, we have built strong collaborations with global and domestic technology leaders. Our partnership with Thermax Boilers (India) has enabled us to jointly execute turnkey bio-waste-to-energy projects, while our collaboration with Reunion Engenaria (Brazil) and Medas Engineering has brought cutting-edge distillation and process technologies to the Indian market. We also work closely with Reumax Turbines (India) to deliver EPC solutions that integrate advanced ethanol-production and distillation systems, ensuring high efficiency and reliability for industrial clients. Our EPC portfolio includes several large-scale bioenergy installations. Some of our major project highlights include over 150+ MW of cogeneration capacity delivered across Rana Sugars’ units in Unn, Bijnor, Moradabad, Billari and Shahabad. We have also executed notable projects such as Shivratna Sugars (12.5 MW & 15 MW – G4 MW) and a 6 MW plant for KPPL. In addition, we continue to expand our global footprint through ongoing international assignments, including the 44 MW Mashkour Bioenergy Project in Sudan.
